The Official Word: Housed in the College of Applied Human Sciences, the Department of Construction Management boasts the largest number of students in our survey, with 732 undergraduate majors and 103 minors, six Ph.D. candidates, and 13 students in the Interdisciplinary Studies in Construction Management track. Colorado State's 17 full-time faculty members is more than twice the average number of other survey participants. In addition, the department includes four lecturing Ph.D. students, five adjuncts, and 12 graduate teaching assistantships.
With a 100 percent placement rate, graduates are hired by residential firms in a variety of roles, including project management and scheduling, and with such titles as project engineer, estimator, and field supervisor. Average starting salary: $46,000.
