Experience Works
Lori Pemberton has joined Experience Works Inc. as the employment and training coordinator for DeWitt, Grundy, Kendall, LaSalle, Livingston, Macon, McLean, Moultrie, Piatt and Woodford counties.
Established as Green Thumb in 1965, and renamed in 2002, Experience Works is a national, charitable, community-based organization that helps seniors earn money while they update their job skills and prepare for a job.
Pemberton is responsible for recruiting seniors age 55 and older who are unemployed and meet low-income guidelines for training and employment opportunities in public and nonprofit agencies.
Awards
Hundman honorees
Bill Zook, Normal, was recently named 2007 Employee of the Year for Hundman Lumber Do-it Center in Bloomington.
Zook received the honor for his outstanding service on the staff of the contractor sales desk. In addition, Zook received an award recognizing his 25 years of service to the company.
In addition, two employees of the Bloomington store were recently honored with sales awards. Matt Smith received an award for Outstanding Sales for Contractors in 2007, and Charlotte Travers received an award for Outstanding Sales in Cabinets, Appliances & Floor Coverings for 2007.
Awards were also presented to employees in appreciation for their years of service with the company.
Doug Dyson, purchasing agent, received an award for 30 years of service. Ron Bull, driver, was honored for 20 years of service and vice president Bruce Hage received an award for 15 years of service.
Fred Rusher, LeRoy, was also named 2007 Employee of the Year at Hundman Wall Systems in LeRoy. Rusher received the honor for his outstanding service to customers and co-workers as a production manager at Hundman Truss Systems, a division of Hundman Lumber Cos.
Honor for excellence
BLOOMINGTON - The Central Illini chapter of HDI recently received a Gold Circle of Excellence Award. The HDI Local Chapter Circle of Excellence Award recognizes the superior performance of HDI's local chapters and provides a benchmark for local chapters to benefit from and emulate.
HDI is the largest membership association for help desk, technical support, and IT service management professionals.

AT&T position
BLOOMINGTON - Kevin Vannatta has been named sales center vice president for signature clients for AT&T Central Illinois and Indiana.
In his role, Vannatta, 53, will lead a team of 19 sales and customer service employees as they serve AT&T's largest business customers in Central Illinois and Indiana. The newly created service territory is based in Bloomington.
Vannatta is a Bloomington resident and a member of the United Way of McLean County campaign drive. He graduated from Xavier University in 1976 with a bachelor of science degree in marketing and in 1980 with a master of business administration degree in finance.
Waddell re-elected
Brian Waddell of The Mosaic Co. was re-elected to the board of directors of the Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association.
Waddell will represent the fertilizer manufacturing industry on the board. He resides in Normal.
With more than 1,100 members statewide, the IFCA represents the crop production input supply and service industry including agricultural input retailers, chemical and fertilizer manufacturers, distributors, and farm equipment suppliers.
Chamber board
The McLean County Chamber's women's division recently elected the following officers: president, Pamela Reece, town of Normal; president-elect, Ashley Hickman, State Farm; VP membership, Christine Arbogast, US Bank; VP programs, Kathy Gerdes, Mueller & Reece LLC; VP public relations, Rose Anna Martin, Commerce Bank; recording secretary, Nora Dukowitz, town of Normal; treasurer, Patricia Grosso, Busey Bank; ex-officio parliamentarian, Amy Mobley, Leighton & Mobley, LLC.
